Having orgasms as a way to strengthen a relationship and relieve pain

A woman and a man cuddling in bed.Image via WikipediaHaving regular orgasms is an important part of bonding and can help to relieve pain.

The fact that two people are able to orgasm together brings each other pleasure and is a wonderful release producing hormones that make a person feel better.

One of those hormones that is released is oxytocin and this is a powerful natural painkiller, responsible for bonding. The part about reduction of pain is fascinating and has been research that I have studied over the years. As a Sex Therapist working with clients that have chronic pain symptoms,  orgasms have been a part of the natural pain relief. The one aspect about achieving orgasm is also getting the body to relax, this is part of the mind body experience is learned over time.

As a woman each month goes through menstrual pain, one of the best ways to relieve this pain naturally is by having orgasms. The wonderful aspect about orgasm is that it can be a solo act or one that is shared.

Having regular orgasms can help with depression and better health

One natural way to help with depression or even bouts of sadness is  having regular orgasms.  Orgasms are one of the most powerful natural stress releases in the body.  When an individual has an orgasm not only does is it make the heart pump blood throughout the body, but it also promotes better cardio vascular health.  Orgasms burns calories, "so that ice cream eaten after dinner can be worked off by having multiple orgasms later."

The natural hormones that are released during  an orgasm relieve pain both physically and mentally, creating a calming effect on the entire bodies system.

As for Health

“A 1997 study in the British Medical Journal [64] based upon 918 men age 45–59 found that after a ten year follow-up, men who had fewer orgasms were twice as likely to die of any cause as those having two or more orgasms a week. A follow-up in 2001 which focused more specifically on cardiovascular health found that having sex three or more times a week was associated with a 50% reduction in the risk of heart attack or stroke.  Having orgasms also affects the limbic system in the brain releasing oxytocin and other calming hormones.”

Orgasm can be enjoyed during self-stimulation (masturbation) or with a partner.

Orgasm with another person during intercourse or foreplay can also promote bonding and deeper affection towards one another.  Orgasm relieves mild depression and the blues in many people.

The new saying should be “several orgasms a day will help to keep the doctor away”
