Bedroom Talk: Better Sex, Starts With Appreciation

Have you ever noticed that when your spouse or significant other expresses appreciation towards you, that you suddenly feel closer to them?  That is the idea of appreciation and letting the person you love know how much you appreciate the little things that they do for you.  Appreciation can give you that warm feeling all over creating a deeper connection to your spouse.  It brings people together in a loving way which promotes better intimacy over all.  If you want sex that is more connected then start connecting outside the bedroom with appreciation towards your spouse.  As I always say, "Everyone deserves a healthy sex life, and so do you"  Give some appreciation today!

Does the amount of semen decrease as a man ages?

As a Clinical Sexologist,  part of my time is spent helping people with sexual issues and the other part of my time is doing research to help those people.   One area of research that I study because of the amount of men that ask the same question is about the volume of semen that they produce.  While looking for a definitive answer to the question I found that there were several reasons why this may happen.  One is related to testosterone levels that drop and it can affect the volume of the semen....but this is only the case in rare instances.  What I did find out was other information that may help to answer the question.

Yes, it is true that for some men even in their twenties that the amount of semen they produce can seem less then average or when they were at a different stage in their life.  There are products on the market that help produce more semen like Volume Pills, but that does not answer the question as to why this happens for some men.

The Answers
1.  For some men that are over the age of 50, when natural aging occurs, the muscle that pushes the semen out of the penis is not as strong as it may have been when a man was in his 20's, 30's and 40's.  The solution to this can be as simple as doing penis exercises.  What I recommend to my clients is that they stand up and then produce an erection, once they have an erection, they place a towel over the penis and use the muscle to pull up and down to strengthen the muscle.  They should do this a few times a day and work up gradually to 30 reps in one day in two or three intervals.  After a few months of exercises many men see results with this simple exercise.  They experience stronger orgasm's and it gives the appearance of more semen being ejaculated at one time.

2.  Another factor that may decrease semen is when a man leaks out semen during the day or as some men refer to as ozzzzing.  This can be from milking of the prostate or indirect stimulation causing a man to get aroused but not fully ejaculate.  As this can be a great pleasure of teasing to some men, it will also cause less seminal fluid to come out when an orgasm dose occur.

3.  The last reason that semen may seem less prevalent and more often than not, is when a man frequently masturbates several times a day depleting the body of seminal fluid and therefore having decreased volume each time.  Less frequent masturbation or using Volume Pills can help in these instances making it possible for a man to masturbate several times a day but still produce seminal flied more often than he normally would.................................

Women who orgasm with their man always come back for more

How do you know that you are giving your woman an orgasm?

One sure way to tell that she is happy in the sheets with you, is if she is coming back for more.  When a women has an orgasm with her partner she begins to get attached to him, and that amazing feeling that she gets from him giving her an orgasm, she wants to feel it over and over again.  Not only does it feel good but her body is releasing hormones that are like a drug, natures drug.  The effect is so potent that if she continues on a regular bases having amazing sex with her man and having multiple orgasms, she wont want to stop.  The point being is a pattern that men often do that make a woman crazy, they pull away....this is more typical than realized and happens early in a relationship, which eventually leads to disaster, leaving the woman wondering what happened and the man confused because he just needs a break.

This is where the intense attachment begins, and can continue into a wonderful relationship if a man falls in love with the woman, or it can turn into a nasty breakup.   One way to avoid the intense attachment for both a woman and a man is to take it slow in the beginning of a relationship.  Our bodies were designed to produce life and when a man makes a women feel good in bed and gives her orgasms her body will crave him over and over again.

For women it has been proven that when she has an orgasm she is more likely to get pregnant because the uterus contracts pulling in the man's sperm.  This increases the odds of that sperm meeting her egg quicker.  This is a great way for a women who is trying to get pregnant to have that baby quicker, so if the two of you are just having sex for fun, make sure to use protection!

Sex play without intercourse to create better intimacy

Teasing and playing during sex play is often over shadowed by the end game of intercourse, making the whole experience center around the act itself.  For couples that can go beyond the boundaries of traditional sex, they can understand and enjoy the experience of sex play.  When I counsel couples often times I will have them do home assignments where they are not suppose to have intercourse and instead get to know each others bodies together on a whole different level.

This is also a great exercise for any couple that experiences erectile dysfunction or even female lack of orgasm.  Making the sex focused on the experience of touching, playing and bringing each other to orgasm without intercourse.  This allows a partner with performance anxiety to move past that and just focus on being in the moment.

After a few home assignments couples begin to create the intimacy that may have been lost and learn how to connect on a deeper level so then when they do eventually bring intercourse back into the sex then it is just be part of meal on the dinner table, but not the main course.

Help me please Is my husband still in love with me?

My conversation with a sex therapist

Hi Dawn can you help me please, I have not had sex in three months with my husband and the last time we did, I practically had to beg for it.  We have only been married for five years, but after our daughter Megan was born it seemed that Tim my husband just was not interested in having sex with me.  Our sex life was great when we first got married, but half way into my pregnancy, I started to have problems and it affected our sex life.  Then when Megan was born I did not want to have sex for a few months but after that I slowly recovered and wanted to start to make love again but Tim, did not seem as interested.  Now a year has passed and we barely ever do it and when we do I am the only one initiating it.  I think that my husband is no longer in love with me what can I do?

Hi Megan, I have a few questions for you, about your husband, first have you directly asked him why he does not want to have sex with you?  Sometimes when a man has been refused to have sex with his wife or goes through a life change such as a child, his feelings can get hurt but he may not really understand what affect that may have on him.

Hi Dawn, yes I did ask him and he said that he was just not in the mood, but that he does still love me, but he does not really want to talk about it, he seemed sad though and a little confused.

HI Megan, tell him that sexual intimacy is important and that you love him, that you are attracted to him and that you appreciate all that he has done for you.  Tell him that you want to work on the marriage.  Do not brush this under the carpet or let it continue, if you don’t resolve this issue now it will become a bigger problem in your marriage later on.

Hi Dawn, I did tell him that last night and he did say that he wants to work on the marriage, but he does not know how, or what to do.  I think that you are right and that he was hurt during the time when I refused to have sex with him, but he never really said anything so he seemed like it was ok, but I can see where he may have felt hurt.  Thank you for your help, I will continue to talk with him about that time and see how we can move forward.

Watching too much pornography can lead to unhealthy sexual patterns?

There is such a things as “too much of a good thing!”   Allow me to define a healthy amount of pornography and masturbation as opposed to over indulgence.
As a clinical sexologist, I have helped many people understand the difference between porn addiction, over desensitization, sexual pattern, and how to manage their sex lives.  There is a direct correlation with watching pornography, masturbation, and developing a sexual pattern.
Now if you plan on being alone for the rest of your life, no human contact or ever dating and having sex with another person then watching porn by yourself endlessly can be your partner.  Most people though like having a “real sex partner”, lover, marriage, relationship over” just a life time of solo masturbation.”
Let me break this down into simple terms, watching too much porn and masturbating the same way each time, is going to create a sexual pattern, and this is going to make “real sex” with a “real person” more difficult.  The problem mainly occurs with men but a fair share of women get hooked on their vibrators and the same sexual pattern can happen there as well.  The brain gets used to the continued pattern by which a person orgasms.  Continued masturbation in the same way each time sets up the pattern, when involved with a partner that pattern is hard to break, especially if it is done consistently and over a long period of time,
Solutions to this ever growing problem?
Change it up, and do it often…….. Changing your sexual pattern is important; if you masturbate a certain way try a different hand or new way to stimulate yourself.  Use your imagination to masturbate too, give all the outside stimulation a break and think about what feels good on your own.  Connecting the mind and body is important for both a man and women to understand how to think outside the box sexually.  I am not saying that you can’t have some outside stimulation, like a video, magazine or sex toy, but make it a once and a while “a treat” rather than the experience.  Don’t let you sexual pattern ruin your sex life!

Enjoying sex in the moment

The art of being able to enjoy sex in the moment is one of the most difficult concepts for people to understand. One way to explain it in simpler terms is to compare it to a great movie; you let the movie take you over, not expecting, or wanting to get to the end. Enjoying sex in the moment also takes the pressure off of the experience. Pressure to perform in any sexual way can stop a person form having an orgasm.

As a professional sexologist and therapist, I have both men and women who have anxiety issues when it comes to having sex. People tend to view sex as a duty or a way to achieve orgasm instead of just the enjoyment of sex itself. The sexual intimacy that two people have during sex can be even better when the expectations are no longer there.

How to enjoy sex in the moment:

1. Don’t go into the sexual experience expecting an outcome.

2. Don’t make the sexual experience about the orgasm

3. Do focus your sexual attention on your partner the way they feel, look, ect.

4. Take the time to experience something new for yourself, change positions.

5. Look at sex as fun, enjoyment, an expression of sensuality and sexuality.

6. Introduce a new sex toy, new lubrication, body paint, or massage oil….add some flavor to the experience.

How to improve sex in your relationship

Sex shop (BDSM)-01Image via WikipediaAs a sex therapist helping people to improve sex in their relationship, I recommend that couples open the lines of communication surrounding sex.

Most people have no problem having sex or unsatisfactory sex, but have a problem discussing it. Talking about what one likes to their partner still seems a bit taboo. The sad part about all of this is that the sex continues to deteriorate and gets old and boring in many relationships. As humans we have sexual animal instincts as well as a hunger for variety. The human mind is complex and sex in the same position with the same person over time can become unfulfilled in any relationship.

Ideas on how to add some excitement back into the sex is being able to talk about each others fantasies, experimenting with sex and checking in with your partner as to what feels good or not. Another way to help improve sex is to make it fun and playful, adding role play, erotic stories, sex toys or adult DVD’s. One suggestion that I give couples is to go out on a date night to a sex shop together, and see if anything there  stimulates the imagination.

Women can smell their sex partner through pheromones

What are pheromones?

Pheromones are a chemical scent that all humans give off, and are detected by women subconsciously.  Women have a very keen sense of smell more so than a man.  When detected, pheromones give information about the immune system, fertility, current state of sexual interest.  Some of these pheromones target the opposite sex, and naturally trigger attraction arousal and readiness for sex, women can get turned on by the smell of a mans natural sex smell, if he is a biological match to her, but that is rare.

With the right chemical-hormonal signals, A woman automatically, instinctively responds -- without even realizing what is drawing her to a man.

How are pheromones detected?

Pheromone signals are detected through an organ 3 inches inside the nose called the Vomeronasal Organ (VNO). When the VNO detects the pheromone, it sends a response signal to the brain. So, while the sense of smell is usually discussed in studies of pheromone attraction, it is really a chemical response that occurs, rather than a specific identifiable smell. In other words, she responds to your chemistry on a subconscious level, with feelings of attraction, arousal, interest and excitement. Women have reported getting wet when in the presence of a male that she is naturally attracted to or the pheromone is attractive to her.

Do we give off pheromones naturally?

Absolutely, we are chemically communicating with each other all the time. These pheromones that we give off are the base for most pheromone cologne style products.  Most male scents do not naturally match with other females that is why men put on Cologne and baby powder.  That is also why we shower?
After a man showers he applies deodorant, maybe cologne and then he masks his natural sexual smell and also takes away the Pheromones that may attract women, so by putting on the proper Cologne that has a natural sexual attraction will help replace what is missing.

When you put on a pheromone cologne like Nexus Pheromones™, you're not only replacing pheromones you've washed off, covered up or lost, but adding a chemical miracle brew that will work on most women. By replenishing and even boosting your lost pheromones you can really "get back to nature," and re-establish chemical communication with people around you. People respond without even understanding why. They just know they like you.

How long do they last?

This varies a great deal depending on each person's individual chemistry and the particular scent they choose. One of the best products, Nexus Pheromones™, says its pheromone-based cologne lasts approximately 8 to 10 hours when applied on appropriate spots.

Why should I buy pheromone products?

This could be the thing that gives you the competitive edge and the confidence you need to achieve your social and sexual goals, whatever they may be. Pheromones are an easy way to boost your attraction, and then compound it with the confidence you'll have from all of the choices and attention. It also can mask your natural smell that may not be a match to many women.

Are all pheromone products about the same?

No, definitely not. They're all quite different, and the savvy consumer should always shop carefully. You should look for a product that contains pure androstenone pheromone concentrate preferably in "double strength" potency. If you are having trouble finding the right product, we recommend you consider Nexus Pheromones™.
Also, be careful of what you're paying for: be sure to compare package sizes when you buy. Some companies put as little as 10ml in a bottle while charging a hefty price.

What results should I expect with a pheromone cologne?

  • More eye contact, interest and smiles from the opposite sex
  • More sex appeal
  • More dates and sexual intercourse
  • A rejuvenation of your current relationship
  • More passionate lovemaking
  • A relaxing, easy effect on others around you
  • More instances of being approached by the opposite sex
  • Increased self confidence
  • Intuitive respect and focus on you by others

Can I order and still maintain my privacy?

A good company will ship discreetly with nothing on the package to identify the precise contents. If you aren't sure, ask before you order, though you won't need to if you are looking at a good product.

Are there other ways to increase my sexual libido?

Of course, the best way to improve any aspect of your health is to eliminate bad habits like smoking and excessive drinking, give yourself a better diet and exercise regularly. While you're working on healthier living overall, adding a male enhancement supplement can take you to an even better level of sexual performance and pleasure.
Some other products you may be interested in include: VigRX™, MaxiDerm™, Semenax™, VigRX Oil™, GenF20™.

Having regular orgasms can help with depression and better health

One natural way to help with depression or even bouts of sadness is  having regular orgasms.  Orgasms are one of the most powerful natural stress releases in the body.  When an individual has an orgasm not only does is it make the heart pump blood throughout the body, but it also promotes better cardio vascular health.  Orgasms burns calories, "so that ice cream eaten after dinner can be worked off by having multiple orgasms later."

The natural hormones that are released during  an orgasm relieve pain both physically and mentally, creating a calming effect on the entire bodies system.

As for Health

“A 1997 study in the British Medical Journal [64] based upon 918 men age 45–59 found that after a ten year follow-up, men who had fewer orgasms were twice as likely to die of any cause as those having two or more orgasms a week. A follow-up in 2001 which focused more specifically on cardiovascular health found that having sex three or more times a week was associated with a 50% reduction in the risk of heart attack or stroke.  Having orgasms also affects the limbic system in the brain releasing oxytocin and other calming hormones.”

Orgasm can be enjoyed during self-stimulation (masturbation) or with a partner.

Orgasm with another person during intercourse or foreplay can also promote bonding and deeper affection towards one another.  Orgasm relieves mild depression and the blues in many people.

The new saying should be “several orgasms a day will help to keep the doctor away”

Finding solutions to your sexual problems in your relationship

One of the most difficult issues to talk about is sex in a relationship; most couples are not open with one another and get embarrassed to even broach the topic.
Sexual needs get replaced with duty or sex that is less than fulfilling.  Many couples get into a routine where the intimacy in the marriage or relationship takes second to everything else that is going on.  As a sex and marriage counselor I often tell my clients that sex is not the act itself but how a couple can have deeper intimacy in the relationship.
Looking at sex as an act that two people just have instead of a loving experience that the couple can enjoy tougher is part of the problem that many couples have.
The way that many people view sex in a relationship is that..... it is part of the relationship but not a top priority.... and can be put aside for other issues or problems that may happen.  This is one of the biggest mistakes that can occur, because sex it the one area that the couple can connect with one another in a way that is personal and intimate.  The bonding that takes place through sexual intimacy is not only pleasurable but the body releases hormones that promote closeness.  The release of oxytocin and other hormones during orgasm is the same hormone released in the body when a mother gives birth and breast feeds, to promote attachment.
Taking the time to make sex in your relationship a priory and learning new ways to excite and please one another is a way to keep the intimacy and love growing over time.

Can sex in a marriage or a long term relationship be kinky?

When we hear about the word kinky and sex together it may make certain people grimace with fear, but the reality is that sex can be very erotic with a little kink added to it.

For all of my followers who already know about my idea of sex and marriage this may not be so shocking to you, but for others who have just stumbled on to this one article, then give me a moment to explain.

Kinky is not always a bad connotation it just means “out of the ordinary” and how can that be a bad thing when it comes to sex especially sex in a marriage or long term monogamous relationship.

The term ordinary and sex after time defiantly make for some boring sex sessions with your spouse and we all know that with years of boring sex in marriage comes unhappiness and cheating.  So why not add some kink into the sex play and see how much fun the sex can be again in the marriage.  Kinky sex can be anything that is out of the ordinary, such as the introduction of a little bondage play, perhaps handcuff or ties.
Spanking and whipping ones bottom can also be considered a little kinky, and if mastered in just the right way to give a small sting in the correct place on the butt, it can heighten the arousal and stimulate the genital area. One could also use a ball gauge in the mouth or a some sex toys that are not just vibrators but butt beads or anal plugs.  These things are actually considered mildly kinky to the real world of super kink, but that is not really what I am trying to get across here.

What I am saying is that couples should go outside of ordinary sex box in any long term monogamous relationship because it can be fun ,exciting and with a person that you love and trust.  Kinky adult movies are another form of erotic play.  Watching the move together as a couple can be exciting too.  The next time that you hear the word kinky sex take the time to understand that it just may be what the doctor ordered for an otherwise boring sex life...

Sexual differences in marriage and how to work through them

When you have been married for some time and the sex in the marriage has gotten routine, maybe even a little boring what do most couples do?

The reality of the situation is that most couples don't do anything about it with each other because one spouse may be completely content and the other maybe unhappy. This happens more often than not in long term relationships where the sex drive, desire and frequency of sex is not what one person wants, but their partner seems to be fine with it and can happen with both men and women.

This usually is not a sudden realization but one that takes place over a period of time and then at one point or another just becomes unbearable for one spouse.

As a sex counselor and marriage counselor, I recommend that couples heading down that road of disaster to take the time and talk about it before it gets to the point where resentmeant and cheating takes over.

If that time has already come and gone and you are the spouse who is miserable, and unhappy then something needs to be done and that is to get help from a sex counselor or sex coach that understands human sexuality.

Sex coaching and counseling is much different then marriage counseling because it is solution based and deals directly with sexual issues, sexual health, techniques, fetish's, fantasy, sex drive, hormones and other issues. Sex counsling can be done as a couple or individual, but one thing is certain everyone deserves to have a healthy happy sex life!

What is your idea of a good marriage or a lasting marriage?

A Ketubah in Aramaic, a Jewish marriage-contra...Image via Wikipedia
The meaning of marriage in present day is not what was defined back in biblical times, the average life span of a person back then was 30 years of age and the time that they were a couple together may have been only 18 years and were dependent on each other for survival.

When two people get married in present time and the years pass, the two people that first met and fell in love are not the same people that they once were fifteen years prior, when first married. Individuals in marriage grow and change throughout life along with their understanding of whom they are and their sexuality.

This is where the idea of long term marriage may really contradict what a person is supposed to feel as human beings and what is expected of them as a couple in society. As a human race our natural life span was quite shorter than in biblical times.  In those days we married and raised kids together until they were old enough to take care of themselves (which was around 13 years of age) then we were biologicaly done and passed away or were lucky enough to live into our late 40’s or 50’s.

In the society that we live in today’s world we are expected to fit into the tradition box of marriage, stating that we have to continue to be with the person we marry until death do us part, but the reality is back at that time of the biblical concept of marriage our life with someone may have been at best a 20 year span and the dependence on one another was critical for survival.

Today being in our late 40’s and 50’s is quite different then in biblical times, and is equivalent to  late 20’s and 30’s where the average age of marriage was 13 years of age.  Today we may marry in our late 20’s but by the time we are 50 our life is no longer over but many people have a renewed sense of self and are quite different than when they first got married.

Many women in their 40’s begin to know their bodies and minds better and find themselves wanting to experience sex in new ways without stress of small children and their own freedom of financial independence.  The same goes for a man as well, his seed to reproduce is still viable at the age of 50 even though he has raised his children and been married for 18 years he still has the biological need to reproduce.  Not to say that a man necessarly wants more children but that his body and mind are still very much reproductive by nature, and the husband and wife no longer need each other to survive or raise the children.

What happens in this generation of people at this stage in their lives is that they are faced with a marital dilemma, their spouse is the person that they have a friendship with, shared experiences and financial obligations but in reality the attraction to their spouse may no longer be there. Many times these feelings of turmoil will lead a man or woman to go outside of the marriage to cheat causing them extreme guilt over what they have done and hurt their spouse, and have no real solutions to their problems.

The fact is that people live longer with newer drugs to enhance their libido, plastic surgery to enhance their appearance and ways to slow down the aging process will only continue to plague married couples in their 40’s and 50’s and eventually will become the normal evolution of society to just be in sexless unhappy marriages.

Coming up with solutions to these very real problems starts with understanding and knowing that it is quite normal to feel this way about marriage.

In a lecture series that I had the privilege to listen to a very well-known marriage counselor and sex therapist gave this explanation in one of her lectures and that is, "That married couples can have many marriages in their lives with the same person, and recognize that it is a new marriage with new feelings and the old marriage no longer works or applies, but that the couple together has decided to start a “new beginning with each other”.  I thought that was a unique and honest approach to look at marriage today.

Once the couple can honestly look at each other and say let’s put our old marriage to rest and start over on a new relationship with each other.  Then deciding to really get to know each other mentally, physically and spiritually again and be open to the fact that growth in this new marriage together can happen, or that the marriage is not able to blossom and make peace with themselves, remain friends, find a new person to have a life experience with.

Some couples also may decide to turn to non-traditional marriage and try new forms of lifestyle changes into their marriage.  Each couple and each solution or progress may be completely different, but the one constant remains and that is the understanding that monogamy for such an extended period of time is not natural or normal and takes work.

The mindset is what will make a couple that has been together for 15 years and give them the permission to say that in fact the tradition of “marriage and monogamy is the unnatural way of life and to work in that parameter of thinking will take away the pressure of failure”.

The conclusion of the article is not to say that marriage cannot last a life time or that two people are not capable of living in long lasting monogamous marriages, but that it is not biologically the normal evolution and that having a long term monogamous relationship takes work.  Two people that can continue to grow together and be honest about who they are and what they need to stay in a marriage may be the couple that lasts for a life time.

Please feel free to leave your comments and open a discussion on this subject, it would be a very helpful topic for many people to talk openly about.

What to do about my wife’s interracial Fantasy?

This question  was asked on my blogtalkradio show "The Happy Spouse Adult Show"

"What to do about my wife's interracial Fantasy", (by author J.C. Davies interracial dating expert and writer).  The radio show theme for the day was asking interesting sex questions and J.C. called in with this one, that a person asked her on her website and she wanted to get my opinion as a sex counselor and marriage counselor..

Dear Racy JC,
You seem like the one person I could ask this question. It's not something I'd go around just saying to anyone.... and I never have till now! I've been married for about 2 years, and it's better than I could have dreamed. We're great for each other. However, my wife has a bit of a "thing” for African-American men (we're both Caucasian)

Tantric Sex with your spouse can add more intimacy to your love life

Kama Sutra IllustrationImage via Wikipedia
One of the great’s gifts that a husband and wife can give to each other is a healthy active sex life. One of the main problems in most marriages is that the sex life gets put on the back burner or just becomes a routine where it is no longer enjoyable. When a couple can explore Tantric Sex together it will open up new possibilities to the intimacy in the marriage.

Tantric Sex can be watched on a DVD or read over in a book and then the couple can practice it with each other.  A sex counselor can also guide the couple and give them information on Tantric Sex.  With Tantric Sex the couple can explore new positions together and new erotic zones with the body.  The other benefit of Tantric Sex includes time for the couple to slow down the love making session and get to know each other’s bodies in a new sensual way evoking unexpected passion in the bedroom.

Tantric Sex is healing for sexual tension or performance anxiety taking the pressure off of the climax and on to the enjoyment of the moment. Tantric Sex is not about reaching the end goal of orgasm but more in the prolonging of the pleasure sometimes even forgoing an orgasm to save the build up for the next love making session.

Husbands that are good lovers knows their wife’s vagina is unique to her

Woman and Man (Alternately, Husband and Wife)Image via Wikipedia
What man has not struck gold in his life when he can bring his wife to orgasm, he now has the golden tick or the secret love recipe.

The truth is that yes he may have found the sweet spot on his former girlfriend and brought her to orgasm but what he doesn’t know is that her vagina and its function is not going to be the same with his wife. Often times a man will use the same technique with his wife and find that he is not bringing her to orgasm and assume that something may be wrong with her when in fact he just needs to experiment a little more. The other factor that goes into the equation is that she may also thinks her husband’s knows what he is doing and many times will blame herself for not being able to orgasm.

We now have two people who love each other but are becoming frustrated with their sex lives. A woman’s vulva (vagina, clitoris, inner lips, and outer lips) is very different in each woman the way it looks and how she may get stimulated. Some women require more stimulation, some require less, some women like to have then entire vulva played with and others may like to focus on the clitoris and g-spot. Another point that is important is for a woman to also know about her own vagina and what feels good to her so that she can show her husband, and in the same token a husband has to be open to wanting to please his wife. The sole purpose if this article is to let a husband know that his wife may not be turned on in the same way that he may have turned pleased another woman on. This does not mean that he is not a good lover or that there is something wrong with his wife but to understand the fact that her vagina may be very different.
Oral sex is one of the most misunderstood areas of sexual stimulation from women to women. What may have brought one woman to orgasm screaming with pleasure; May actually over stimulate another women and cause her irritation or even pain. This is why for both a husband and wife understanding that different vaginas require different stimulation thorough communication and touching with one another will help to achieve better sex and better sexual intimacy in the marriage.
The solution to this problem is for a husband and wife to not assume that a past technique or experience is the answer to a woman’s orgasm but to take the time to know each woman’s vagina individually. The best way to get to know a woman vagina is to have her place her hand on her husband’s and show him what she likes, the pressure, the movement, the rhythm. The same goes for oral sex and intercourse, make it a game and ask questions, have fun with the experience and vaginal exploration. Take the time to get to know each other’s bodies, this may even be after 10 years of marriage because bodies also change with age and what may have worked 10 years ago no longer words now. Do change up the sex in marriage, don’t get into a routine, work on it and have fun with it that is the whole point of really having a great sexual experience with your spouse.

Couples using Sensate Focus too help with sexual problems in their marriage

Nudes in Wiesbaden, GermanyImage via Wikipedia
Masters and Johnson introduced Sensate focus or sensate focusing as a set of specific sexual exercises for couples aimed at increasing personal and interpersonal awareness of them and their partners needs. Each person is encouraged to focus on their own sexual awareness and sensation, rather than viewing getting to the orgasm as the sole goal, thus taking the pressure off of each individual in the sexual setting.

A sex counselor, sex therapist or sex coach will usually guide the timing and technique of the sensate focus helping the couple with the step by step process, then checking in from time to time for comments and experiences.

In the first stage, Maters and Johnson recommends wearing no clothe as long as no touching of the breast and genital or reaching orgasm is taken into play (and this is fine for many couples but in my version as a sex counselor and working with couples who have not touched each other affectionately in years, I recommend them to start first with clothe on and to simply hold hands again, kiss affectionately, rub each other’s back, and hug a few times in a day for a week to get used to the intimate affection again. Once they have done this then they can start with the first phase of the Sensate Focus.) In this first step or second step for some touch each other’s bodies but no genitals including breasts. The couples are encouraged to enjoy and become increasingly aware of the texture and qualities of their partner's skin and their own reaction to how it may feel.  Intercourse is not allowed at this point along with any focus on genitals. This stage of the exercise is really about the person doing the touching realizing what they may be feeling and it is not about pleasing their partner but more about just discovery.

The second stage or third depending on the first option is to increase the touching options, while still gathering information about each other’s bodies, no intercourse and touching of the genitals at this time. This is the stage where the couple uses the technique of placing their hand over their partner's hand in order to show what they find pleasurable in terms of pressure, length of time and motion. The goal in this stage is to still learn about each other’s bodies and also to lean about your on body. As a sex counselor I also recommend that each partner use masturbation if necessary before hand to figure out what they like so that they are able to show their partner, this is a big part of the learning process as well and that knows your own pleasure points and what stimulates you. For a woman who has never had an orgasm, learning to masturbate before hand by herself and bringing herself to orgasm will then give her the information about her own body to teach her partner about what she likes.

The next stage is a gradual process of genital stimulation and if the couple wants to try new experiences such as oral sex, lubrication and play around the perineum and anus area this is a good time to do that. Orgasm is never the focus in this process or any of the above exercises. Sensate Focus is also used as a tool for male and female sexual anxiety and male erectile dysfunction, performance anxiety in men, the obsession to focus on the penis can result in forms of erectile dysfunction, rapid ejaculation and anxiety. The job as a sex counselor is to encourage the man to forget about his penis, and forget about his partner's genitals, and instead concentrate on the sensual possibilities available and the experience itself without the feel of his own genitals and his partner's skin, hair, mouth, body, etc.

Contact with the penis is 'forbidden' and the only sexual contact that is 'allowed' is sessions of interaction with the partner during which only the non-penis aspects of sex are explored: Touching, talking, and kissing hugging, and so on. This includes not only touch but taste, sound and hearing, as partners are encouraged to talk to each other, to express how they feel and to encourage each other. (This is if the man has erectile dysfunction or performance anxiety) The focus is to have an appreciation of a whole new set of sensual possibilities, leading to a reduced focus on the penis and its tendency to be the male's main concern. Men often report an improvement in their sex life generally with less anxiety. As the man reports increasing awareness and attention paid to this holistic approach, the problem usually will go away with the male sexual dysfunction.

This works well for women too, not having to please their partner as the focus but to just have the focus on the moment instead of intercourse. Many women that are pre-orgasmic or have had very few orgasms with their husband during love making will be able to show their husband tools of foreplay thus allowing her mind and body to get into the mood.

The final stage is to work towards intercourse when both partners are ready and for each couple this may take a varied amount of time. In fact there are really no time limit associates or presented with these techniques, as that would place pressure on the aspect of the Sensate Focus which is counterproductive to the whole process. Some couples maneuver through this in three weeks where others it may take three months, the goal is to have a better sex life as a result of this exercise and that lasts a life time, so always keep that in mind.

Married couples who have a sexual tool box

Sex toys vending machineImage via Wikipedia
What is a sexual tool box for married couples you may ask?

This is the box or place, drawer, cabinet, closet, that you keep your stash of toys and goodies that you and your spouse share with each other in the bedroom. I believe that every married couple should have a sexual tool box and they should fill it with their own unique stash of goodies that they have selected just for each other to use together. This sexual tool box does not have to start off with every sexual gadget in the world, in fact it can have no sexual gadgets in it at all, but of course that would not be as fun.

The reason that a sexual tool box is so absolutely wonderful to have as a married couples is it shows that you and your spouse know how to really enjoy each other sexually and have come to the point in your marriage where you feel open enough to try new things. You may ask what goes into a couple’s sexual tool box and of course this would depend on each couple and how long they have had their tool box for. Some couples have fun sex games, sexy outfits, lubricants of course, sex toys if they like, massage oils, erotic novels that can be read together, sexy DVD’s, the sky’s the limit with what couples can put into their sexual tool box. There may even be a few different types of tool boxes for unique occasions during the month.

If you don’t have a sexual tool box in your marriage, there is no need to feel bad about it or that you are missing out and you may even be the type of married couple who just likes to enjoy each other without any additives, but those that want to add a little passion to the sex in the marriage, creating a sexual tool box with your spouse can be a lot of fun. One place to get started is of course with lubrication or other stimulating gels, these are product that as we age almost all married couples will have to purchase at one time or another. The sexual tool box can be filled with lingerie and stocking, sashes and belts, fun bondage accessories and of course there are adult toys. There are all sorts of Vibrators such as the

Rabbit Vibrators, clitoral vibrator ,  dildo vibrators,  g-spot vibrator, mini vibrators, Toy Friend

The list goes on and on.  Many couples can also get started by getting a lovers beginners kit such as:  Nouveau Lovers Kit, Regard Indiscret , Agent Secret , Lure Shower Seduction and more.

The point of the sexual tool box is that you and your spouse share it together, it is your secret box that you have when you want to add a little spice or passion to the sex play in your marriage.

How a woman can get her sexual desire back

not sure about this one..Image via Wikipedia
Bringing Back Your Sex Drive

For women who have lost their sex drive, this article is for you. When a woman no longer feels sexy about herself she may have a hard time being passionate with her spouse or partner. Sex may become a chore rather than a pleasure or an exciting release. Many times after a woman has had children, been in a committed relationship for a time or is approaching her late forties or fifty’s she may notice that the once fun passionate spited girl she used to be is somehow gone. The good news is that a woman can get her sexual Mojo back.

Whether you are short, fat, big, tall, small breasts, big breasts, athletic, curvy, slim, fabulous, the point is, it does not matter what you are on the outside, it matters how you feel on the inside. Sexy comes from the inside and then radiates througout your whole body sending off energy and pheromones that you may not even have realized you are capable of producing.

The very best way a woman can get back her sexual Mojo back is to get her butt moving again!

These are a few ways to exercise your body and feel sexy at the same time. When we move our bodies we not only get the cardiovascular benefit but we are also engaging our mind and body so that they work together again.

These are 6 wonderful exercises to move your butt and feel sexy at the same time.

1. Put the music on at home and start dancing, lock the bedroom door and dance your heart out. Make sure the music is sexy, raunchy and makes you want to shake your bum.

2. Grab a girl friend and go out to a club and go dancing, put on the shoes, the dress, the hair, the makeup and let loose.

3. Take up salsa dancing with your spouse or on your own, the Latin dance is sure to get the blood flowing in all the right places.

4. Go to a zumba dance class at your local gym, and shake it up.

5. Yoga is another way to get in touch with your body; it stretches women in all of the right places and makes the body more flexible and firm.

6. Pole dancing class. Get in tip top shape and feel sexy at the same time.

Get your mind to start thinking sexy thoughts that bring the sexual desire back into your body
1. Fantasize about something that turns you on.

2. Read a trashy romance novel that makes you hot.

3. Put on some sexy lingerie and heels and walk around your room, lay in your bed with satin sheets and touch yourself.

Masterbation is third on the list

In a study by Athena Science It says

"A woman who has regular sex with her partner or even is sexual with herself will release more sexual pheromones to the opposite sex, “Cutler's other studies show women who have sex with men at least once a week have regular menstrual cycles and fewer fertility and menopause problems, apparently because of exposure to pheromones.”

4. Touch your body regularly.

5. Get your self turned on, by using sex toys or even with your own hand, there is nothing that will put you in the mood more than to wake up body parts that have been asleep for years?

6. If you don’t use it you will lose it, this is very true for a woman, a woman must use it! Use it often on your own or with your spouse, partner, or lover.

Women I can guarantee you one thing and that is if you play with yourself often you will begin to want it more, it will create a chain reaction in your body and release hormones that need to be woken up.

7. Flirt, yes you can flirt innocently, but allow yourself to be a little flirty, womanly. One of the best ways to do this is to give a man a compliment. Try out your flirty ways on your husband, and see how it pays to give your man a compliment.

The best advice is always to be kind to yourself, love yourself and take care of yourself. Life is too short to not have experienced a great sex life, or never experience what it’s like to have passion in your life. Take charge of your inner woman and bring passion back to your body.
